Wilson's School

Charities

The school has long been actively involved in fundraising for various charities. Every term the boys have a 'Mufti day' where money is raised for particular charities. The houses have 'adopted' children in Africa and help with their education; and every Christmas 'Love In A Box' collects presents for children in less fortunate parts of the world. In addition there are cake sales, charity concerts and many other events every year where the focus is on giving to others.

On 22 March 2015, as part of the school’s 400th anniversary celebrations, a team of boys and staff participated in the Marsden March, with a target of raising £8,286.50 for the Royal Marsden Hospital. The target was more than achieved. A fine example of the school’s motto, non sibi sed omnibus*, being put into action!
*NON SIBI SED OMNIBUS — ‘not for self but for all’
