RUGBY
Rugby is on the school curriculum for all pupils within year 8. Within the 6 week block, pupils cover the basic rules and skills and begin to apply these within small sided matches.Rugby becomes a games option for pupils to select in years 9/10/11/12 and 13. During the sessions, the boys develop many aspects of their game play including; tactical play, set pieces and positional awareness. They also receive specialist training from a qualified coach and this too extends into lunchtime and after school practice. There is a lunchtime club on a Monday for year 8 pupils and year 9/10/11/12 and 13 have extended sessions throughout and after their games periods.
